Empowering young engineers to design, build, fly, and compete with remote controlled aircraft since 1997

About Us
Aztec Aerospace Design (AAD) is a student-run organization first established as Design Build Fly at San Diego State University in 1997 to compete in the international DBF Competition.
Each year, students design and manufacture a new unmanned, electric powered, radio controlled aircraft to enter into the competition.
DBF gives students an opportunity to test their engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities against other university students from all across the world.
